About MetroFlex Oceanside
Lou and Sabrina Uridel opened MetroFlex Gym Oceanside in 2017 to recreate the Golden Era of bodybuilding: an old-school, gritty room where the community is as supportive as it is hardworking.

The story
Lou was a track athlete and earned a JD from DePaul School of Law before leaving law for training. He has competed in amateur bodybuilding for over a decade, with a faith foundation since 2016.
Sabrina is the heart of the community — outgoing, and what you see is what you get. Together they are raising three children, Murphy, Jericho and Rio, and they call this community Mi familia.
The gym is an extension of their home. That is why the floor feels the way it does: people know each other, help each other and expect each other to show up.
The result is a gym that feels like a room, not a product. Members train next to competitors, first-timers and people who have been under the bar for decades. The standard is the same: show up, do the work, help the person next to you.
What we stand on
Old-school work, real equipment and a room that rewards consistency. The Golden Era is not a decoration here; it is the standard.
Lou's faith foundation began in 2016 and shapes how the gym treats people: with honesty, service and respect. It is part of the house, never a sales pitch.
Lou and Sabrina are raising three children and a community. Members are greeted by name, and the gym is built to be an extension of the family home.
The space
Free weights, machines, platforms and a cardio deck. Photos are of the actual room, not a render. The floor is gritty on purpose and kept in working order.

Coaches
Lou leads the coaching team. Isaiah, Trevor, James and Sarim coach alongside him. Every coach works with bodybuilding prep, body recomposition and injury-aware programming.
